Building One of the Most Visible Science Brands in the World.
Jeff built and led communications at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, one of the world’s largest privately funded science portfolios—crafting narratives that reached over 2.4 billion people and generated 43,000+ media stories. His work spanned scientific programs, a nationwide network of institutes, and open-source tools at the forefront of discovery.

Leading Crisis Communications in a Global Emergency.
During the pandemic, Jeff led rapid-response and crisis communications across CZI and CZ Biohub—navigating government, media, and scientific stakeholders on a daily basis. Much of the Biohub’s work during this time was chronicled in Michael Lewis’s best-seller The Premonition: A Pandemic Story, now optioned by Universal Pictures.

Bringing Global Awareness to the Fight Against ALS.
Jeff executive produced For Love & Life: No Ordinary Campaign—Amazon’s 2024 Emmy contender for Best Documentary. The film follows Brian Wallach’s fight to rebuild a broken healthcare system after his ALS diagnosis. It’s now streaming on Prime and was the first film screened at the White House after the pandemic.

Centering Patients in Rare Disease Research.
At CZI, Jeff helped launch Rare As One, a groundbreaking effort that put rare disease patients at the center of science. The campaign sparked a movement—uniting science, advocacy, and philanthropy—and now supports over 100 patient-led organizations worldwide.
